I just installed a modified accumulator from Factory_Tech in my Lightning. I am very happy with the results!! The best part is, it is very easy to install by yourself. The cost is roughly $100, (much less than a shift kit and install) and you get the same effect. It is as easy as changing a transmission filter. I have pictures on my zing site.

Thanks,
Justin

juicemac78 does this mod require a re-burn of a chip?

Thanks

Very easy although messy to install. Cost around $150.00 and no chip needed. Not sure why you don't have a chip yet anyway? Nice firm shifts, quicker shifts no more slipping into the next gear. Makes the trans shift like it should have from the factory. Very worth while mod. Would do it again. Change your pan and filter at the same time. Switch to the 4X4 pan it's a little deeper and has a drain plug.

I'll tell you a dirty little secret. All the parts in a Level 10 shift kit are included (not the same parts, but near identical) in the mod I do, and on mine you get a whole new accumulator and the instal is done. And the good part is, my whole setup is the same price as the Level 10.
Unless you want to install it yourself.

At the risk of getting the thread closed, e-mail me, and I'll send you one. I've been trying to find out who I have to pay and how much for the "supporting Vendor" tag, but all my e-mails get bounced, so if anyone knows, let em in on the secret password and I'll be happy to pay the fee, I just can't figure out how.
