I just bought a used PSP chip from a guy who said it was a for a 99.5. My L is a 99. I thought they would be the same. The # on the chip is CUX2,,the # on My computer is CUX1. Any help would be great!! My truck will not start with this chip, I cleaned the terminals up nice on the computer..

99 is CUX1...So if the chip says CUX2 it will not work... CUX2 is for the 00 L...It can be reburned but until it is the truck won't work with it...

Just a quick thought on that.

Some 99's did have there computers "upgraded" by the dealers during service to solve problems.

This would have forced the owner of the chip to have to get a reburn to the 00 computer program.


This would explain a CUX2 in a 99.
