Post ** Can someone check this for me **

Now that I'm getting a new 01 Bolt, I have to remove the brake controller that's mounted under the dash. Can someone check under the dash of their L to see if this plug is there. It's just above and to the left of the diagnostic port. It has five wires colored:

Red
Green
Blue
Black
White

It is in a 6-pin square plug with only those five wires. I need to know if that harness also needs to come out being part of the brake controller kit I had installed. It's the grey connector you see in this pic. Thanks for any help.

It's late and I'm delirious so bear with me. This looks interesting. What exactly can said pictured harness do for you? Is it hooked into a power source or what?

You should have gotten a pigtail wire harness in your glove box when your truck was new. That plugs into the connector that BadBolt has pictured above. It is to wire up an electric brake contoller needed for pulling trailers with electric brakes. The connector in the picture is under the dash to the right of the steering wheel with the open end of it facing the front of the truck.
