Well last night was a good one. Took my new 2001 "L" out on the town a found a couple of kids to smoke. First there was a 00 GT. we started from a roll and he got me a little on the start, but I pulled by him quickly. Those 5 speeds get going pretty fast. Then there was a 98 Cobra come up behinde me, and I had the same results. Then some Dumb A$$ in a 98 model Dodge Dakota pulls up beside me at a red light, revs his engine, and spins the tires like he is heating them up. This truck wasn't even a 5.9, and it was jacked up a little. I about died in laughter, then he went and I eased on the gas and then smoked him. That is about all except I pulled in a parking lot and throwed it sideways and a cop came out and almost got me for reckless driving, but he was pretty cool and said nice truck, and don't pull that ***** again. So how do you guys think I could run against a 3000gt? Kid up here thinks it is fast, and I want to show him what fast is.

Oh please... a 3000GT VR-4? My Cobra and L bone stock would whip that car. Those things run low-14s stock. They get out of the hole pretty good b/c they have 4WD, but they are heavy cars (3800lbs).

Unless its been hopped up, you'll crush that car.

Thats cool. I smoked him in my Roush Mustang one night, but I was not sure how fast those cars realy are. I don't think he can drive to good.

Jason,

Just don't blow the tires up in smoke and you will beat him...again, assuming its pretty stock.

Walk it out of the hole and nail it. Even if he has a half-car on you by 15-20mph, you'll pass him easily.

A normal 3000gt wouldn't even be worth your time. If its a VR4, well, thats an AWD 305HP twin turbo six. You should still take it. I have to disagree with WA 2 FAST and say that w/ an awesome driver, he should be able to pull mid 13's. He will launch hard as all hell, but don't panic and roast the tires. Just keep calm and let him have a car or two lead off the line. You will get that back and pass him. Most people see how those AWD's launch, and panic and then go up in smoke. If you are calm, you will take him out. Good luck!

It should be pretty easy then because I race stock cars on a touring series, and I am pretty good with the gas. Thanks for the advice guys. Yall are great
