How much is a 1999 worth with 10K miles?

My dad wanted to try and get a figure for what his truck could be sold for. It is a 1999 with 3.73 gears. It has chrome 2001 wheels, 2001 mirrors, a bedrug, chickenears chrome engine accessories, a pro fit fuel door painted to match. I think the miles were like 10K. Always garaged never driven in foul weather. Never wrecked.

This is not a for sale ad. I just am asking what the price should be. I told him probably between $15-18K, but I haven't been following lightning stuff for awhile.

Thanks.

KBB says 11,500 if in excellent condition. Most don't get rated that high, but who knows.

People are still getting a good penny for the used L's
Hell I payed a small fortune for this one, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, and people are willing to pay for a Stocker with no miles on it ; o )
I agree with 15-18 and consider that the low side, I would start 18-20K and work down. Hell I better be able to get over 20 for mine @(&$%@)&($%@()$
hehehehehe

The dealers around here think a 2001 with 14000 miles is only worth $15000.00.

That figure just confirmed that I really did not want to sell it.

The 1999 is listed for 10K. On what great divine knowledge are you drawing upon to come up with 15-18K? Oh..and I hate to break it to ya Rob, but your going to take a porking on your Lightning if you sell it. Your only hope is to find a fellow enthusiast with cash money that doesn't mind buying a truck that has been thrashed. In other words...a fellow enthusiast who doesn't know you...LOL.

Trashed ???

Yes it's true Mike went through a few motor's when he had it, but like myself Mike put MASSIVE amounts of money in it on the last build. Also like myself he sold it right after the final build and I belive 3 trips to the track. (you do get shell shot on the 3rd motor or so, been there done that )

Hell this Truck still has a brand new Motor, BTS Transmission, Whipple, fresh Paint, and untold other Mods, and I drive it like a little ole lady....

But you right, I'll lose big time should I ever sell it....
and I still think a L with 10K on it is worth 15-18

A vehicle with 10K stock is basically a new vehicle in my books. If its a limited edition model that you happen to like, its worth paying the money for but don't go to a dealer to get it. When dealers sell, its worth gold but when they buy, its worth nothing.

I just bought a 17 year old very limited edition car in absolute mint condition and I payed good money for it but I still consider it money well spent.

If I didn't already have one, I would pay a good buck for a stock Lightning with 10K. Modded, don't know??? You have to know the owner like Rob because not everybody does it right.

15 to me sounds about right. 18k might be a little on the high side.

Rob... I'd fly to your house and write you a check today for 20K for your truck. LOL..

I'd have to take a lear jet because I wouldn't be the only one racing to get there.

Start high, $18+ range. You can always go lower but you cannot go up. You will find an enthusist looking for a pritine example and have no trouble selling. Look to market it outside of the L world.

IMO opinion to truly get what I consider fair price for the vehicle it needs to be sold to a fan not given to the dealer, your never going to get even close to 15K by trading it in, unless maybe the dealership is performance based, say Tasca Ford ect.. but I still don't see a 15K offer, I think for a quick/profitable sale start in the used sections on the boards/ebay, post great photos/carfax report and offer it for what it is a non molested 10K Lightning, not as easy as a trade in but for 25% more cash, it will go. Just as a side note I looked up my 01' L with 26K- 19,700, not bad but you'd need to add 4-5K for me to even consider selling as is, if someone wants it bad enough they'll pay the premium, while not a Shelby you get the idea.

yeah

15k-18k is not far off. You can't get these anymore and there are some potential buyers out there that might have always wanted one and couldn't afford one. Almost 10 years old or not, 10k miles is nothing.

I just turned 25k on my 00' as i drove to put it away for the winter. I wouldn't sell it for 15 but as is for 20 i would ..........but it's not for sale so.......

Thank you for the help. Rob apparently needs glasses. So I guess it's true, masturbating can cause you to go blind.
