Post Does this seam right?

This weekend at the JDM meet in Englishtown NJ I ran my truck for the first time. I went 13.375 @ 101.16. I like the 13.3 but I don’t get the MPH of 101.16. Other people who had the same mods and a little bit more were running 13.3 @ 104. Does my MPH seam to be low or is it right where it should be? My truck is a little heavy. It weights 4960. My truck had a half tank of gas and stuff in the bed. My mods are alumn DS, JDM flip chip running on the street side, 90mm mass air, and 12” big mouth filter.

Thanks for any insight.

John

Was there a headwind? That will knock down the speed.

John893:
I think you should take out your sound proofing and your stereo equipment and then your mph will be higher. Oh, and by the way you should put that stuff in my truck LOL In all seriousness I think you did real good with that extra weight you probably hooked up better so you would be quicker than fast. I think you will find that your 60' times are better, take my 13.391 at 104.02 my 60' time was 2.025 I would think yours will be better. The extra weight will help you at the start but will hurt you at the end in mph. One last thing John it was great meeting you and I look forward to doing a White Mountains run with you and the others from this area. Let me know what you think..Bill

Yep. Ditto on what hdm said. Your truck weighs more then the others and thus will cost you mph.
