i took a trip to charleston and saw my old lightning. He stop at mcds so i folled him and asked him how the truck was working out for him and i notived the passenger side was all jacked up. It was backed into and the rear rim had a fine scratched that almost looked like a crack. i babied the hell out this truck and its new owner obviously didnt know how special these trucks are. he took off like a bat out of hell and i saw blue smoke coming from the bassani exhaust. man sad sad day 4 me!! just thought i would share the story... i will get me another one. my new truck got no b@lls.

 

That sucks. I sold my 04 last year. Have not seen it yet, It was modded to 428 + rear wheel and the guy bought it to tow with. So it may also not be doing well.

Just unloaded my 07m reg cab xlt as it had no driving enjoyment and bought a 03 lightning. So I am a happy camper again.

is alot diferent between lightning and the ROUSH STAGE 2? because i like both.......

 

If I am correct, the stage 2 has no S/C. Just a normal N/A 5.4.

 

Correct, Stage 2 roush = cosmetic + suspension only. Stage 3 goes forced induction

I park next to my old SRT8 Super Jeep each and every day (sold it to a guy at work)
my Old Cobra is in the same parking lot at least a few times a week, (sold it to a customer of mine)
never heard back from TX after he bought Blacky#1 (02L)
and unfortunately Gregg in Chicago had lots of prob with my old 99L : o (

I do miss the Procharged GT I built and sold last year, that was truly the most beautiful color combo I believe is available in a stang. I loved the look of it and man was it fast but like the other 8-10 stangs I had, as soon as it gets cold out and I have to wear a coat I absolutely freak out with how tight the interior is and I sell it. Buyer lives local never seen or heard from him again....

a Jeep Cherokee, and now I have an Explorer Sport Trac as my 2nd car

Would love to see my 03 sonic blue Lightning that I traded in for a Chrysler 300c SRT8.

 

First off I gotta say you have a really nice truck. I really love the Roush body kits. Next, I know this is kinda off topic but how do you like the Roush suspension??? Do you bottom out on bad potholes or dips in the road??? How does the truck handle??? Is the ride stiff or still a little soft and smooth like a stock F150??? If it is stiff, do you feel every bump like a stiff sports car suspension???

I am looking at this setup for my truck but live in NJ, travel to NY and NYC, and the roads here are pretty bad . I only went with the 2" lowering shackles to level it out, but would really like to lower it and fill in the fender gap some more. I think the Roush kit looks like it might be the best kit without going to low and I would think the ride quality is pretty good.

 

im sorry, but that is probably the stupidest trade ever.....no way would i trade a Ford (let alone a L!) for a foreign

 

Why call someone stupid for a decision that they made? As my family grew the Lightning was sitting unused more and more. I am thankful I bought the srt8 because it kept my family and me alive when a honda pilot got rear ended by a jeep grand cherokee jumped the median and landed on my roof.
