Angry Dammit!!! Back out of the saddle!!!

Well, after 3 weeks and 2 days, I picked my truck up from the dealership with a new tranny. Well, that was Tues afternoon. Tonight on the way home from work, my truck started shifting kind of firm (it actually barked the tires from 1st to 2nd--no chip). I should have known then something was amiss. Well, as I got closer to home, the tranny seemed to start slipping. Now it will not shift from 2nd to drive. I pull it into the garage to check for any leaks and to check the fluid level. Level is fine, no burnt smell, no leaks...So I decide to take it out for another spin to try to see what is going on. Guess what? NO REVERSE! I had to push it out of the garage so my wife could get in, and luckily 1st still works for me to pull back into the garage. I am SO PISSED, again! These guys are going to get an earful in the a.m.

Oh, come on Bob, have faith in them!! I bet they just tested it "TOO" good. lol

Sorry for your misfortune wrightlightning - I'm not laughing at you. Mine is mushy on the 1-2 shift and rips my kidneys out on the 3-4 shift with no shift kit. Go figure

Cur...
I also hear back from my tech when he is the one who has my truck with the problem, the fix the estimated time when I don't know what is going on with my truck. It was 105 in the afternoon his time when I sent that email...but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

UPDATE:

I take my truck in this a.m. Funny, the tranny worked "ok" b-4 it warmed up. Still shifted too hard. Anyway, once warm no over drive and it slips big time in drive, plus no reverse. I take the service guy for a ride after he added about a quart of oil (no help), and guess what? He thinks there is definitely a problem...really? The guy that works on the SVT vehicles was not there today, so I won't know anything until Monday a.m. Me and the service manager are going to have a nice long talk (he was in a "meeting" today, and did not call me as I requested). It seems as if the pump is not getting the oil it needs. I am not too savvy with transmissions.

FORD_TECH, you out there?

Bummer man, i've had no trani trouble at all so far, pushing 12k. I cant believe a 2nd trani went out. I havent seen mnay posts on trani trouble, you guys? 50-'00's would = 1% of production roughly.
Anyway, sorry to hear, hope your ridin' high before the tumble weeds all tumble away.

wrightlightning,

I pass the transmission torch to you buddy, at least it took you 1 year what it took me 2 years to do. Don't get too attached to it thou, I think my 3rd one is starting to let go now.

lgogether,

Wow, your third huh? That does not give me hope...What problems are you experiencing with your trannys? My first one just lost second gear, no warning. This one had less than 100 miles on it b-4 acting up.

Thanks guys/gals for your support!

I think I got y'all beat...mine went out .6 miles from the dealer. But I haven't had any problems with the second one (looking for some wood!)
