Question Q about mods and intercooler

I'm curious (and this may be a stupid question) but of those who have developed intercooler leaks, have you also added a chip and filter?
How many of you that have leaks have no mods at all?
I am wondering if the IC leaks might have something to do with chip and/or filter mods.
Flame away.

No leaks here yet. Mods have not been the problem. Both stock and modded been leaking.

There seems to no difference wether you have chiped your truck or not as to if you develop
a leak in the intercooler. If its gonna happen to yours it will just the same. Mine did at about 13500 miles and was replaced at
15300 when they finally got all the parts from back order last July 2000. Since then I have put on another 16000 miles or so with no
signs of leaking. Someone suggested a mod on
the cap thats on the tank to unpressurize the system and I have done that a month ago.
If you think about it it does make sence to do that.

Intercooler is the problem, does not matter if you have a chip or not
