Post Please Help with Wheels & Tires

Okay I'm no expert on wheels and tires. I love everything about my 01 L except the wheels. I like a polished or chrome wheel. My eyes have been on the KMC VENOMS.Should I consider 20x8.5 and what performance or ride quality would I lose? Also as it goes for the tires should I stay around a 40 to 45 profile to protect my investment. The Venom is also available in 18x8.5 but I think the 20's would fill up the fender wheels better. All opinions are greatly appreciated.

20's are big bucks. 8.5" rim may not take a 295 wide tire. May not have as good of traction with a narrower tire. What ever you buy make sure they are rated to handle the weight of your truck. Not all wheels are created equal.

On a serious note do you guys really think the stock 01 Wheels do justice to the fine lines of this vehicle? Also looking at the Centerline Lexus 6 spoke serious in a 18x9. What would I be losing out on with the 1/2 inch difference over factory? What company would chrome my stock rims and guarantee them not to peel or crack? My stock wheels would be 10% over Ford factory cost simply because I have waxed them 4 times already.
