No problema re: blower. Just keep your eye on the water temp and don't let it get in the red zone. My biggest concern about towing would be whether the factory tranny cooler is adequate. The mechanic who installed my shift kit said he thought it was a pretty decent unit. The thing that is most vulnerable in towing is the tranny. "Hunting" gears going uphill is not good for it, so you might want to disengage the O.D. I think a shift kit would also be a good idea, 'cause sluggish shifting will kill the tranny sooner than anything.

Superchargers came into "mainstream" technology on infernal combustion engines during WWII on aircraft engines. Long periods of time under load will not be a problem. As stated, if you can keep the tranny cool, you should be fine.
I tow my 71 Challenger behind my 99 L all the time and have no trouble at all. It doesn't even act like I'm towing 6500 lbs of car and trailer. Keeping the OD off in the hills is an excellent idea, but in the flatlands around here it doesn't hurt anything at all.
Staying in boost for extended periods won't hurt anything but your mileage. At cruise speeds you should be in the vacuum at all times unless you give more gas, then it'll pop up into positive pressure. This is normal.
I find the L to be an exceptional tow vehicle and it really is fun to tell people at the track that my tow vehicle can outrun thier race car!
Hope this helps!

You guys neglected to mention how heavy your loads would be. Chuck and I are both towing 6500 lb. loads, and the Lightning handles them with ease. Most people think the L. can only handle a 5000 lb. load but 'taint true, if you use a load distributing hitch it can tow up to 8700. I have something called active suspension http://www.activesuspension.com on my truck, and it works great, but you may also wish to look into http://www.equalizerhitch.com/
Wish I were going to Sturgis, have a great trip.

I am towing a 14" enclosed trailer with the L. My concern is that at some points going up hill the supercharger sits at around 4-6 lbs of boost for quite some time. Is this dangerous to the supercharger? Also, when cruising at around 70 with the Brick behind me, the charger gauge reads right below the black section in the vacum area. Is this a problem?
Anyone with towing experince please help (ar anyone else for that matter)
Thanks
