I also ordered a Lo-Pro Tonneau cover, actually, they called and said that it was in and I'm going Saturday to have it installed. I ordered it without the locks and am installing some custom latches on the underside of the bed. What exactely are you unhappy with as far as quality? I just want to know what to look for when I go and check it out in a day or so. Thanks...

Hey White2000SVT,

Could you explain what you are doing for custom latches. I am re-installing my Lo-Pro on my '01 and want to remove the locks and fill the holes for an invisible latch.

Any help would be much appreciated. By the way, the quality of my lid was first rate. (They forgot to ship the keys with it however, which made the first install null and void)

My main complaints with the quality are:

- Fiberglass texture is visible through paint.
- Edges are unfinished.
- Gaps on edges between top & bottom pieces.
- One hinge was improperly bolted to the cover.
- Instruction photos are illegible.
- Rear bracket must be bent to work with our beds.
- Shipping braces were screwed to the bottom and left holes.
- Weather-stripping is too thick and leaves a big gap when the cover is closed.

Hey WHAT04....

I ordered my lo-pro without locks on it. As far as the custom lock kit, someone had one on the nloc board, and I'm basically copying that. If ya need any info on it, I can post it for ya.

I'm going to check mine out today, and I'm now not as excited as I was a couple of days ago. I really hope that mine doesn't have the same defects that yours had. Did you attemp to send it back? Just wondering how they are with keeping up on quality control.

I'll let you know what I find out today.
