Question Is the company that makes Lo Pro hard covers in business?

I did some searching and found some old website links and they don't work anymore. Has anyone ordered one of the lids lately or have a link that works?

Thanks

Thumbs up

The lo pro I believe is made by A.R.E, based on the east coast. Their website is www.4ARE.com. I just ordered an LSII for my '01L, and the distributor said he could order the lo pro if I wanted one. Looked good, but note that his comment was that the weather stripping is mounted on the rails, so when you lift the lid, the weather stripping is seen on top of the bed rails. When closed, you can also see the stripping from the side. I am sure it is a personal preference, but for the money, I think seeing weather stripping on the bed rails might look tacky. After looking at both Stockland, Vista, and Snugtop, I decided on the ARE lids because of its ability to ride slightly on top of the rails, to help prevent "rubbing" on the truck bed. So many complaints that the lids eventually chaffe or ruin the paint on the box, and this worried me about future repainting costs. ARE has an adjustable rubber foot (feet?)at the tail light corners that lets it ride slightly higher on the bed rails, thereby reducing the risk of chaffing.
Again, personal preference.

Try:

Just conversed with them via e-mail last week.

You don't have to put the seal on the bed cap rails. It can be put on the cover itself. That's what I'm doing on my re-install on my '01.

The official Lo-Pro site is http://www.mpulse-caps.com/lopro.htm

I got my lo-pro on Saturday. I will post some pictures and a review later this week when my new digital camera arrives. I will say this now though, I'm not happy with the quality.

If a distributor tells you the rubber has to be mounted on the rails, he's an idiot and I would not do business. My Lo-Pro has been on for 9 months without any problems and the rubber is mounted to the LID.

And no it cannot be seen from the outside, the lid has a lip that rolls over the edge and prevents it from being seen. The build quality on my lid was excellent.

If you have someone that knows what they are doing to do the install, there should be no problems. Good luck, I think you will like the lid's low profile and less weight.
