I've got some good ol' american Iron... and plastic to defend the honor of my L against the "rice rocket" onslaught! There's been a few 1100cc crotch rockets that's been fallen prey too. Then there's always 300hp of happy gas.. need be. Like some one said: "there's always someone faster." I too have been fed my share of humble pie. Jus' enjoy da sport!

DreaminAboutL:
It ran a best of 12.66 @ 118 at New England Dragway. That was with the motor stock with just a few bolt ons, and a 50 H.P. shot of n2o. That was also with street tires and spinning all of first and second..I have not run it with the new motor yet but it should be alot faster. the new motor should be about 200 more horses, Dan Parramore cyl. head, steel crank, carrilo rods, J&E forged pistons, custom ground cams, big a$$ turbo, updated to the '94 transaxle with the limited slip, alot of things, bigger injectors, 2 aditional injectors, etc. also will be running something different for tires. the car should be in the 10's if it hooks up..

Congrats to Dutchman for beating a "riced out" 300ZX turbo car. Good kill. I'm so sick of shopping cart wings, huge front air dams and stickers galore...only to find out the car isn't any faster than stock.

It's also nice to hear from some of you who are actually realistic about a vehicles' performance (stock or modified). Some people on this board (not Dutchman, per se) think the L will whip 11-sec vehicles. Please.

Thumbs up

Holy crap! 118mph and that's the old motor... very nice. Think I'll have to single-turbo my RX7...
