My 2000 l has about 2000mi on it now. Whe the transmission downshifts on gear it seams to over shoot to about 3200 rpm and the settles down 2900 and then starts to accelerate. As if it goes from forth to second and then right to second/lockup. Is this normal?

Sounds normal fo a lightning.Buy a chip and when you put you foot to the floor and it goes into 1st and snaps your head back dont blame me if you need a neck brace.It also gerts rid of all the atorque converter crap.You know like when your cruisin at 35mph and someone wants to race,You punch it only to see that the pontiac fiero next to you takes off because your truck shifts only into second and by the time you catch up he beat you to the next light??
