Cool Trials and Tribulations

Well I had hoped the Magnaflow 12468 was the answer to my dreams of better tone/sound and at the least the same as factory performance. Must say I don`t feeel it is. Maybe the 12568 is the answer. I'll run this muffler a while untill I get Sal's chip upgraded and JDM's 2# pulley installed. Removed the smooth cowling from the black 99 and it's being sprayed silver. Bedrug is in. Infinities and amp in today and tomorrow. 10" RS amped Bazooka tube in already. I had been using a 8" JBL.
Man that drive shaft is Impressive. I noticed the new Bilstein and what appears to be teflon bump stops. The leaf springs have SVT painted on them as well as Made in Mexico.
Tacked the left front lower A arm wiggle bolt. I did this on My 99's and never had the alignment problem or the hunt and seek attitude bug me. I plan to have a camber kit installed under warranty. I neglected to do this last time and once over 12000 mile I hear Ford will Not pay for this or an alignment. The cab mount LED brake light looks nice. I had to fix the wiring. The factory left a white mounting plug wedged between the plastic cover and lower cab. Looked tacky. No scratches on this one's lower front from transport. First thing I checked.
Love the new turn signal blinkers on the mirrors. The new tail lights are growing on me. They look better on silver than black IMO. Wet Okoles from the black truck were moved to this one. Have to hardwire the Fuzz Buster yet. Water wetter is in both exchangers. Sal's conical is on. New AIM drop shackels should be here tomorrow. This truck feels like it's tottering on a fence when stuffed into a corner. I much prefer the even keel afforded by 2" drop.
Silver will be a breeze to keep shiney compared to the black. The spider webs were looking awful. And yes I use Zanno with 100% Eyptian cotton towels. Like the overhead storage and the nicer material used on the headliner. Grill is So easy to clean, I always hated drying the honeycombed one. The seat belt buckle on the belt side was canted or angled vs. the old one which was straight on. Easier to stab! The flooor mats suck..period. Cheap F-150 and don't even cover the plastic floor on drivers side. NO excuse SVT. Just sharing the fun.....

Thumbs up

I heard the headlight bulb has a tiny SVT stamped on it... can you confirm?

Yeah, that blew me away. I'm washing my pickup, noticed that, and did a quick double-take. It is a nice touch.

You know, though, I'd trade that and the cassette player for radio/CD controls on the steering wheel.

In fact, I'm thinking of getting some new MP3 player I read about recently that has a little control you mount to the steering wheel. $1400, something like that. Ouch.

I find it quite humerous how SVT always points out the subtle little touches they add, such as the SVT embossed into the bulb cover.

yet look at the damn floor mats! Would put a nice finish on the truck to have some cool Lightning mats from the factory.. but i guess thats too much to ask

They don't really do it because it adds a "nice touch", they do it because it is a SVT only part and they just mold it accordingly.
