Reading lesson for '01ArrestMeRed,

The cast aluminum alloy,five-spoke wheels measure 18x9.5 inches, and fitted with 295/45ZR-18 GoodYear Eagle F1-GS unidirectional tires. first reference to the NEW tire size, all G2 L’s These tires were specifically developed for the SVT Lightning not just 01 L's, using much of the same wet/dry high-performance technology introduced with the F1-GS tires on the 1998 SVT Contour f1-gs for Contour, remember this . The Lightning tires not just 01 have added sidewall strength for towing, and for 2001 THEY INCORPORATE THE NEXT GENERATION compared to the Contour, the un-referenced 99-00, what? Neither you nor I can purchase a “NEW” compound F1-GS, even a 00 guy states that the tire ware is the same 300. How can the 00 have a different compound but same tire ware? F1-GS RUBBER COMPOUND." some but not all tire makers change their designations when a tire makes a significant improvement in performance

Reading is fun if you know how!

Funny how you and FD create things on the fly for your convenience. I like this fictitious stable of vehicles that’s going to kick my @ss? You don’t know what’s in my stable and for me to state so, I would only fall to your pathetic level! The part I really like is the mind set of a guy that’s going to kick my @ss and at the same time posts smiley faces all over the place. This is substantiated my all the loving and kissing you do to other 2001 storytellers/posters.

BTW after seeing your posts I’m ashamed for all red L owners, thanks to you.

MID_12s,

I hear you and I understand that you where just exaggerating a bit.

I'm making an unpopular name for myself here because someone wanted to know a 01 1/4 base line run.

What was presented was a little exaggerated also, pretty soon a 13.9, becomes a 13.6, until it finally becomes a laughable 12.6. A strip run becomes a street g-tech run, tire warmers, and then between 1.6 60' times everything seems fake. The sad part is it sucks a lot of new 01 owners into believing the BS.

This place was a great place to gain valuable information, except for the MADs, R/T 360whatevery, and the Ricers. Now it's becoming a fiction dumpsite, for a few know nothings.

Thumbs up

Yea that's what I thought you'd say. It doesn't surprise me coming from skinny scrawny guy with no ***** and no timeslips, and a slow truck. If you were half as fast as you wished you were, you wouldn't be a jerk-off that hides behind different names all the time, and you'd post some time slips.

Those that talk, talk. Those that do, Do.
Just remember that and maybe I'll see you in Tx. sometime.

GOTECHS,

I've search all over the Goodyear home page and around the Net, but I haven't found anything special about the 2001 F1 GS's. If the 2001 pull a little better 60' then I think it's from the slightly softer rear shocks.

Funny I have a SVT Enthusiast Volume 3 Issue 3 in my hand and it doesn't explicitly
state that the F1's are any different than the other G2's (page 11), I wish/hope they are? It just states it uses this type of tire.

Where did this rumor come from?

The April issue has an article in that states a slightly stickier compound. The wear rating has gone down from 320 to 300.

Red,

I see that you repeatedly cannot address the conversation at hand, thou your attempted misdirection is laughable and enjoyable.

Are you frustrated that you cannot successfully defend yourself, is it time to go the way of FD?
