I've checked hoses all look good and tight.
Is it possible to blow out a water pump seal?
Bueller......anybody?

Yeah, it's possible that the pump seal blew out. is the belt completely soaked?
Are the oil cooler hoses still intact?
Is the valley dry?
Did you wash off motor with water and refill and run it?

RedThunder,
Belt is a little wet but most is underneath the truck on passenger side. There is fluid in the valley. Oil cooler hoses look good. Have not washed it off and re-run it yet- little scared to do any more damage!

I'll go with speedin bob most likely your hose that goes to the intercooler resivour hit the pulley or belt and it cut a nice little slice in the hose. you might ask how do you know? it happened to me when i went to jersey to work on the Fridge!i pulled up to evan smith and anti freese was going all over the place i bet he had 2nd thoughts about me working on the fridge LOL! This happened to me and the white L delivered in the same shipment. The block heater plug blew out. It is located on the driver side. It looks like a electric kettle element with a 3-prong cable connection. It is held in by an extremely poorly designed method...

Ditto on what BlackLight said. I have had my block heater replaced 3 times now for leaking. It was leaking the day I picked the truck up brand new. First time I realized there was a problem I was 8 litres low on coolant. I was lucky it never overheated on me. The block heater can leak and YOU WILL NEVER know unless you check the level in your resorvoir. Every time it leaked on me it would only do so while running under load. Stopped or even sitting idling it would not leak.

Exactly the same thing. I saw it when going to WOT on the freeway in the middle of nowhere (I was going reaaal slow, officer, honest).

I stopped and it was dripping coolant, but not a stream, only from drops already on the underside. Then I limped to the dealer, and it was dry as long as you stayed below 2500 rpm. Going above 3000 rpm on the hoist, got a trickle of fluid.

Question Help- coolant everywhere!!!

Just jumped on it hard entering the freeway and smoking from behind rear window. Pulled over and coolant is all over under carriage and inside engine on the left side. No apparant hoses burst, intercooler tank full (never leaked before. I limped it home before it overheated- glad I was only a few miles from home!

99 WHITEBEAST- If their was coolant on the ground then you more than likely have a busted hose or a loose hose somewhere.

Try looking at the heater hose connections toward the back of the intake manifold. There were several posts on this problem a year or so ago. Loose hose clamps I think.

According to your posts apparently the Canadians get block heaters in thier trucks? Anybody in the US have a block heater? I am not even aware that it was an option.

In Canada they all come with block heaters, it's not an option we can even chose to delete. I was up in Sudbury at Christmas and one morning it was around -35 deg C. The L did start even without being plugged in....but she didn't like it very much
