11s Lightnings step in and help

I don't post here much, but I need some help from all of you.

I have a bunch of none believers.

I have few people saying it is not possible to run 11s with Stock Block/heads/cams and eaton. No spray either.

I know there is quite of few in NJ. I would rather them post up cause I'm not one to post up peoples names.

Off the top of my head I know

Al with his 03DSG has done it. Also Mike with his 02 True blue. I know there is more out there, but can't think of any right now.

I wish I could help you more, but I'm pretty sure that AL with the 03 DSG L sold his. He chimes in once in a while.

What mods do you have? I think it's entirely possible and I plan on doing it. In high 40* weather I ran a 12.55 with only a 4lb lower, intake and catback. I now have ported the eaton and swapped to a 6lb lower and SCT meter, I think with some slicks, traction bars, valvebody and a converter it can be done. I'm pretty sure there are people on NLOC that have done it.

Placed a post there for you, but very high 11's are possible with stock motor and stock Eaton, but it requires essentially every bolt on mod plus excellent (cold, sea level) air. A converter and 4.10 gears were also part of the required mods.

Possible but verrrry rare.

In my area it has taken heads or a 75 shot.

Guys like Vinnie and Gator were doing that back in 02/03 "ALL BOOST"
You can do it with 8 - 10lbs of Pulley and no heads or cams, you simply need the correct set up, the correct tune, and really good prep. I was never into all the prep work and going the extra mile like many others, but the bottom line is "if" you have all the right pieces of the puzzle, and "if" you have a proper "race tune", and "if" you do go that extra mile it is very do-able, and there is much ET to claim if your not... All those extra's like Generators, Fans,
Cooling Tanks, cases of Ice, Bogarts, Skinnys, De-Weighting, and C-16 Programs can give you an easy 1/2 sec over a heat soaked Lightning at full weight. And your right there are many in NJ that have done it including Vinnie, Gator, Al, Fast Freddy, and and and ....

I ran 11's for yr's on a stock block with no mods cept a 4lb and 75 shot. Freddy still does it every time out with the Mag now (believe me it's pretty much the same as an Eaton). Richie (Hostile) does it on a stock block but now with a tuned down Whipple, JJ def has SB trucks in the 11's on Eatons.
If you wanted to do all Boost fairly easy you'd need 8 - 10 lb's of pulley and a really good c-16 tune. It can be done with 6lbs but not consistantly imo

Good Luck

I am running in the 11's all the time (except I don't have an eaton). Stock block....stock cams....stock heads...and no spray.

I agree with you Rob. If all the stars, moons, and galaxies are in line (figure of speech)....you can do it. But all the pieces to the puzzle have to be there.

Pieces to the puzzle are:
-alot of weight reduction
-alot of boost but not too much
-Phenomenal track prep
-Right air conditions
-Phenomenal tune
and so on...and so on..

I used to run 11.90's with bolt ons back in the day. Drove the L to the east coast and back on same tune, full weight. Came back to Ohio and hooked a trailer up and towed my Maverick at the time to Detroit to sell it, with the same tune.
