Nobody in Tampa hates him anymore... Not even Warren Sapp...

They could have Brett Favre at QB and it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference. They need to get an offensive coordinator that isn't running some conservative offense from the 50's. Until then expect more of the same.

Brad Johnson played here for the Redskins. He is not too bad a quarterback, but do not get too excited. He is a gamer, but usually cannot stay healthly all season.

With the quality of defense the Bucs have, you want a conservative offense. 70 to 80 percent of pro football games are lost, not won. Keep the offensive turnovers down, and the Bucs will probably win most of their games. Same game plan as the Ravens use.

Johnson took the Skins to the playoffs in 1999 with the 30th ranked defense. He played most of the season.

You're probably right. I just prefer watchin teams playing to win rather than not to lose. I'm getting really turned off with the NFL. Each year a team wins the Super Bowl, it seems to be the worst in history. No way does this Ravens team even make it to a Super Bowl 5 years ago.

The Bucs got rid of Trent Dilfer cause he wasn't worth spit. Now he has a Super Bowl Ring. Figure the odds!!!

Ravens don't even want him anymore. Still worth the same as when he was here in Tampa. My mom could have QB'd that team to the SuperBowl. 2 touchdowns in 10 games(spit)...

But, Dilfer made the big plays in the big games and won. He stepped up in the Super Bowl and put on a performance that I will never forget. Though it wasn't pretty, he played like an Aikman, Bradshaw, Montana, Young, et al.
As weak as the NFC is these days, I think the Bucs will FINALLY make the Super Bowl.

Can't argue with the below. Dilfer is wearing the ring. I don't remember his performance, but he won and that is the only thing that matters.

Dilfer played in the SuperBowl like he always plays. Only difference was he was surrounded by a quality team. All he had to do was not make any big screw ups.

I saw Dilfer play while he was in Tampa and believe me he is not now nor will he ever be Aikman, Bradshaw, Montana or Young.

Now that R. & K. are on the same team, is there any truth to the rumor that the new Bucs marketing campaign will be based on the slogan,

"Come out to the park and we'll show you our Johnsons!"

******, I lived in Valrico for years and supported the Bucs during the austere Dilfer years. I too saw him play and you are correct by saying that he is no Aikman, Bradshaw, Montana or Young....he doesn't even come close to those guys, but at least give credit where credit is due.....It is a team effort... not an individual sport. He was the starting QB on a team and won the Super Bowl. No worries......

Played like and Aikman, Montana or Bradshaw?!?!?! That was a joke right? I guess if Aikman, Montana or Bradshaw consistently missed open receivers you'd have a point. He only completed 12 of 25 passes for 153 yards and 1 touchdown. Because he played on a Super Bowl winning team does not put him in the same class as those other QB's. let's remember that Mark Rypien and Jay Schroeder both have Super Bowl rings too. The Ravens won in spite of Dilfer, not because of him.

ILL_SVT, What was the loser QBs stats in the last Super Bowl? Did the Vikings during the Fran Tarkenton QB days lose their Super Bowl bids inspite of Tarkenton than because of him? In pro sports, winning is every thing.
