Diff fluid change at 5000 miles ?

Question Diff fluid change at 5000 miles ?

I understand some companys recommend changing the diff fluid at 5,000 miles. Is this a good idea?

It depends on the application and the conditions. If the axle was under water for any length of time, I would change fluid.

In the L the diff is filled with synthetic, not required to change for a long time.
