Just cruising along local road at about 5 to 10mph over speed limit when I heard this annoying buzz sound and saw a black civic with a large fart pipe trying to speed up to pass around me. What's on this guy's mind, pass a slow poke truck? Gave my new L about 1/4 gas and fed my truck some rice. All this fool saw was the sparkle of my tail lights.

Then going home some lady tried to pass me with her cavalier on the onramp to I-15. Well by the time I got on the I-15 she was about 10 car lenghts behind me. My heart was beating like crazy cause the L went alittle side ways when I gave it about 1/2 gas at about 20 mph. Guess my L was still hungry with just rice. Sorry if these are just small and easy kills, but it was my first.

I haven't taken it pass 3600rpm but will do as soon as she gets pass the 1500mi mark. Just did a oil & filter change yesterday when she reached 1100k.

I bet you had fun. That sure brings back memories.

I have driven my Lightning the past few days, since we are going through what seems like break-up. I have noticed that more and more people are into the stop light grand prix. This truck gets more attention this spring than it did last spring. Or maybe its the fact that I drove it all winter last year, and parked it for a good portion this winter.

As far as breaking your truck in, Some say drive it like you stole it, some say baby it. I played with the gears, took it out of OD on the highway, slowly brought it up to 4500 rpms or so when going from a stop, just to stretch its legs. The more I drove it, the more I started treating it like how I was going to drive it every day. You are going to love that truck.

Whats really fun is when you finally catch a light with a 'sports car' like a Z28 SS, WS6, or better yet, Corvette, and they cant drive.

I'm already in love. Can't stop driving it. My girlfriend said that I spend more time with it then her.
Man I got a chance to test it out last night when a brand new Corvette pulled up next to me and was edging me on but my girlfriend was with me and she thought otherwise.

 

I'msure you have many more kills to come. That was about how my first ones went. Impala SS then a riced out maxima. The guy in the Maxima almost broke his neck (when I was turning ahead) to see what the UFO was! Lloyd
