I have a 01 L on order but at the time I'm still looking around for unsold L's. I found one this morning but have concerns about the vehicle. New Red 01 L with 15 miles on it but the dealer says one of the rear shocks is leaking and the shock is ordered with no idea on delivery.On this truck I noticed the Cab and Bed do not line up with one another. One side is flush and the orhter is an 1/2 inch out(bed sticks out pass cab). Very noticable and the service manager said he does not know how to fix it. Is this common on these trucks? Is both side supoose to be in a little but consistent with one another?

If you do a "search" of threads, you'll find a few of the 00 owners had to have the beds straightened.

Misaligned beds, doors, hoods, etc are very common in every make and model and it's not rocket science to align them proplerly

My pre-delivery inspection of my '01 shows the bed 1/2" to the left. You can believe that it will be fixed before I take it home!!

Let me know what your dealer does to correct this problem.

 

Loosen those six big silver bolt heads in the bed, shift into position. Tighten bolts. Done!!

 

I had the same problem and my dealer realigned the bed. Run don't walk!

 

Don`t get all excited I did on my last truck. The bed is soppose to move back and forth that is the way they are made. You can lossen the bolt`s and line it back up but later it will still do the same thing!!!
