Arrow Packaged and shipped a Boxster

***disclaimer***
I am not a big proponet of street racing yet if provoked enough, will

After spending 4 hours giving my L some much de-winterization/cleaning and being a bit warmer than normal, a little "cruise" was in order.

Pulled up to a stoplight with two lanes that merge into one just after the intersection. This intersection is notorious for people hopping into the right lane, standing on it, and cutting off the left lane lead car, today being no exception.

I was "on the pole" in the left lane at the stoplight when I notice a silver Boxster pulls along side and give it a quick rev but didn't look over.... The guy was mid to late 40's, professional (Dr. Dentist type), car was clean, windows down, etc. I could tell he was thinking "I'll easily get around this truck." OOOOOOOOOH NO YOU WON'T!!

Quick glace for Buford T. and make sure no one was prepped to pull out in front of me/us, all clear. Bumped it to Neutral and gave him a 3 G rev , tip of my hat, and a smile.

Dr. Boxster's left hand seemed to clench his steering wheel with delight, right hand moved to the shifter (No paddle shifter)

I'm a left foot braker anyway so my feet didn't need to move. Took the tach to 1200 and waited.

Light went green and I proceeded to pull a truck length on him by the time we crossed the intersection. I think the second gear scratch only added insult to injury... Kudos to JDM and Johnny L.

As disclaimed above, I rarely street race but this one felt REAL GOOD. In the spirit of competition, I gave Dr. Boxster a wave and thumbs up, no response. Guess if this was on the highway a flyby would have ensued.

Speedin Bob, I am proud of you. I did the same thing you did the other day to some kid in a Lowered Honda with some big exhaust coming out the back.Cleaned his clock. I had butterflies in my stomach but it was worth it. Bob.

Boxster S is a piece of cake for a Decent running Lightning. Beaten one twice and another once, all at the track so I know they were trying

Cool

Nice goin', Bob. My favorite type of kill. Don't really get my rocks off beating down snot nosed kids in ricers with fart cans, but yuppies in expensive foreign iron are a different story. Wonder what the guy was thinking after his $50k sports car got blown off by a TRUCK. The day I got my chip installed I was giving a friend a demo ride down by L.A. airport, and I made a U-turn on Pershing. There was a Boxster coming in the opposite direction, and in my mirror I could see the guy change lanes so he could pass me.
NOT. I let him get up to my door and nailed it, and it was bye bye Boxster. The new found power even startled the hell out of me. We both turned on Imperial, and then Vista del Mar, and I let him catch up to me until we both caught a red light, but when the light turned I hauled while he snoozed, obviously didn't want any more of that bad truck. Btw, according to R&T a Boxster S is good for a 14.0 1/4, no threat to a chipped L., or even a stock '01. Don't try 'em in the twisties, though.
