Unhappy

uh excuse me knights I did not open the can of worms. his original msg. implied all japanese are little, ignorant about trucks, then proceeded to create a stupid sounding name out of his own ignorance of the language. but if you cannot see that then further discourse is futile. I've been reading this board for a few weeks and it's supposed to be about trucks eh. But I'm not going to just sit here and read crap and not respond at least once. And if you read my reply with a cool head you can see I even added my own levity. Good luck to opening your mind and thanks for letting me see inside it.

As many of you know we just had a 6.8 earthquake in this area. I personally live 20 miles away from the epicenter. My truck was in a covered parking garage at work and some bricks came down from the wall - narrowly missing my L!

Right after the quake I ran into the garage and drove my L the %$%#@ out of there, and it emerged totally unscathed.

Phew!!!!

Frans,

Sorry for the ugly license plate bracket up front, but you know how Washington State is: gotta have the front bracket. I was personally cited years ago in my Mustang Mach 1 for not displaying mine.

Good pictures of your L; I wish I would have had the foresight to take pictures of it before you left our dealership. I was actually surprised that we had the truck on the lot already PDI'd for you yesterday.

I guess I'm going to have to wait a few more weeks until we get our next L before I can actually drive the 2001 (I can't count driving it on the lot with you). I've driven lots of 1st & 2nd generation L's and just know that this new one is something totally different.

I'm hoping that after you break in the engine, you'll consider running the L at Seattle Int'l Raceway. I'll have my GT there a lot this spring and summer. I don't expect to even stay close to you, but would like to see our first 2001 SVT doing what it was destined to do - race!

Continue enjoying the new wild ride! See ya soon!

Here in Washington State a front plate is required, so I will replace the cheesy dealer holder with something more worthy of this car.

I have already put close to 100 miles on it and am having a supercharged blast! It's amazing how cars get to be so little in the rearview mirror so quickly!

Hey Five Oh B,

As long as you don't tell the service department, I'll be there! :-) I will probably swing by some time next week and you can take it for a thundering spin. Thanks for all your help!!!

Frans,

I didn't tell the service department about my '00 GT going to the track 4 times last year, so your secret is safe with me if you take the L out racing!
