Ford Racing FR200
For those of you who take Motor Trend, flip to page 50 and laugh with me. What is Ford doing? First we get the SVT Focus, and now the FR200, a Focus 'roids. (Granted, 304 horsepower from a 2 liter is cool as crap, but still...)
Though, it was kinda cool to see the little Focus keep up with the Z06.
Any comments out there?

Comments? Sure.
Torque steer from hell.
Wheel hop like a bunny on Viagra.
YoBoytechnowannbe looks.
Why does Ford bother with crap like that? Do they think the bottomfeeders would buy this?
Just one old farts opinion though.
PS. If you believe one of these will out lap a ZO6 I have some hot stock tips for ya.

I haven't read the article yet, but it said on the 2.5 mile track, the FR200 was only a car length behind the Z06.
One thing I forgot to mention: The FR200 cost $200,000. Minor detail.

With enough money you can make anything fast, even a Peterbilt.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

No, it was one car length _ahead_ of the Z06.
$200k is their guess based on R&D. But the parts for it (about $18k on top of a standard $12k Focus) would allow you to build one for ~$30k. I wouldn't buy one, but maybe somebody would.
All I want to see is the FR500 Mustang which would indeed be a very nice vehicle.
