Question No Warranty?

Hey guys...I am planning to trade my Lightning on a new Marauder when it comes out. Does anyone know if Ford will sell cars without a warranty for a lower price, like Chevy will? I plan to slap a vortech on that Marauder soon as I get it, so the warranty will pretty much be a joke anyway. Has anyone attempted this? How much less is a vehicle without the 3 yr / 36,000 mile warranty?

Ford builds into every new car sale $1,000 for the cost of the 3 yr/36 but I have never heard of getting a discount for not taking the warranty. I would say almost 100% that Ford would not do it.

I know one way to get a new car from Ford without a warranty. Pay 2-3 times more then what a normal Mustang costs for one that says 'R' on it.I can tell you, they are more than happy to take your money!

If you take a look at a Ford ESP contract. You can not buy a extended warranty for a cobra R.Whats with that.

Beacuse Ford knows that buyers of the Cobra R

a) Will not drive them, so they don't NEED a warranty

b) Will drive the **** out of them, and do not DESERVE a warranty

It made perfect sense to some committee, somewhere inside Ford.
