If you want the coldest fastest air possible, then get the cervinni hood like mine, and wiat an eternity for the f#$%ing ram air kit. Someday I'll get one for it. for now the airraid works fine for me. Rob and LS told me about the removal of the front pannel though. I got an extra pound out of it.

Clonetek: take of the front pannel on the airraid for more boost buddy. It works, trust me.

Alright, I've got JL's stage II ram air and think it's MUCH better than stock. With his kit and the Magnaflow muffler I'm making 25hp more than I did stock. (360hp at the wheels)

However, after seeing Jim's truck (JDM Performance) with his ram air hood and custom-made dual inlet, true ram air, my mouth is drooling. THAT my friends, is perfection. Or should I say, "That's pop!" like they keep saying on TNN. It's beautiful and looks factory.

just thought i would give a little input on the ram air set up. i'm glad to see most of you really like the set-up.its the exact one i use on my truck. yes there is some truth to the statement that air will get pushed out the side of the filter when moving down the road. but thats only at part throttle! whenever we go to wide open believe me ALL the air being ramed up to the filter is getting sucked in the engine. these engines need tons of air! and the JL ram air helps tremendously by raming as much air as possible up to the mass air.also we use a 4# adapter and filter which lets alot of air go unrestricted into the engine especially for the HUGE 90mm massair on the 2001's i don't want this to look like an advertisement because its not! its just my .02 on the matter.which ever kit you choose to use thats your choice and i hope your happy! i know i'm happy with my kit! the et's speak for that. gforce...just wondering about your 25hp. All posts seem to show little to no hp gains with exhaust mods, and no ram air effect is shown on a dyno.

 

RTKILLA - i allready get too much air... it pings a little. maybe if i duct tape my filter up, it wont be so lean. lol
