Thank you to everyone, And to the few people who knew what I was up to they wanted to buy tickets to watch me slice and dice the hood......LOL

Looks awsome man. I would also like to see a pic with the hood poped to show the underside. Good job.

I like those vents allot, Pitstain!! Good job!!

You're braver then me though when it comes to cutting on my hood....without a spare...just in case!!

And the stripe is just vinyl for now, I have to rip it off and paint it on one of these days......

Thanks again Dave, yesterday in 85* temps I did covered and uncovered tests and saw a minimum of 12* cooler temps sitting still, and about 6* cooler while moving.

I love the shot of that red truck cornering ( I think it is SVTKy, it's a road racer classic shot by now, and I always liked that hood, just too heavy for me, I'm spending thousands of dollars on front end stuff to loose weight, and have to get off my lazy duff and do a battery relocate.

A fiberglass hood is typically around 40lbs. Why in the blazes can't someone make an aluminum cowl hood for a lightning? Or at least a fiberglass/carbon fiber mix to get the weight down to 25lbs or so.

Because fiberglass is cheaper and easier to work with, and most people don't give a rats a$$ what a hood weighs.
