Any ideas on making the wheel wells look better?
The color matched wall of the bed shows through and really detracts from the profile of the truck. I know a set of 20" wheels and a lowering job would cover it up but I'm interested in fixing what I have. My other Fords all have liner shells that hide the machinations down there.
I checked the Search and came up with a discussion started by Bill Murray that didn't too much more than paint the wall of the bed. Any other ideas?
Thank you!

I personally like the way the inner fenderwells look without undercoating. Whenever I wash the truck by hand I always make sure to do an extra good job washing the inner fenderwells. Once or twice a year I get under the truck and wash whatever I can get to... rearend, springs, shocks etc. My truck is White so the fenderwells, especially in the back really stand out.
I like the "Just rolled off the showroom floor" look

Lightfootning, you lay on the ground, wet to the bone, covered in whatever road grime your truck has picked up all to make your baby clean and showroom-like and you don't call this worship?
While doing big massive smokey burnouts, nobody can see the inside of the wheelwells.

trabuco,
Worshiping a car or truck is...
Keeping it in the garage and not driving it.
...
Waxing it every weekend, no matter how cold it is outside...
Never running it through the car wash cause you think it is gonna hurt the paint....
etc, etc, etc...
Usually once in the spring or summer, when I am done with all my other chores around the house and yard........ and I don't have anything else to do except kill time ... that is the time I go out and do the spring cleaning on the truck. Once Winter rolls back around, then its just run it through the car wash once or twice a month time.

LDammit,
I put the So-Cal lowering kit on with my 305's. Looks great...fits great....rides great. And, boy, does it fill up that wheel well.
If I'm not wrong it was a 3/4. Tires sit about 3/4" below the fender, and inside. Tires don't touch during hard cornering and because of the rear replacement spring, you can still carry a load. I had 15 bags of mulch (wet) all the way at the back of the bed and the rear tires never touched a thing.

I also used the black rubberized under coat. I added a 3” wide rubber strip to the pinchweld of the bed. I didn’t like seeing daylight between the frame and bed. A great time to do this is when you are installing your drop shackles.
