I also used the black rubberized under coat. I added a 3” wide rubber strip to the pinchweld of the bed. I didn’t like seeing daylight between the frame and bed. A great time to do this is when you are installing your drop shackles.

 

I used rubber from the dragstrip to cover mine!

So whats wrong with laying under the truck to clean underneath? I use Simple green and a few rags though so not to get all wet.

And there's something wrong with doing this? I would lay on the ground, under the truck, washing the insides of the wheels EVERY TIME I washed the truck (at least 3 times/week). The inner fenders, splash shields, control arms, etc were kept in brand new condition. When the L left me, it had around 12,000 miles and looked every bit as good as the day it was delivered to me in an enclosed trailer with 17 miles on it.

Obsessive? maybe, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Never did I feel like a slave to that truck. I just hope it continues to get the care I gave it. (doubtful).
