Question DILEMMA - Opinions Requested

I have a 2000 red L which, as many of you know, I have had a few problems with. The engine was replaced at 1500 miles followed shortly by the transmission. I have some vibration in the driveline, intercooler leak, seat foam cutting, window clunk, the dreaded flutter.

The dilemma? I have an '01 about to arrive. I have had little luck selling the truck (obviously!) but my dealer, who is not a Ford dealer, has made the following offer for leasing the new one:

I pay $2500.00 lump sum and $40.00 more per month for my lease and it's new truck time.

What do you think? Should I stay or should I go?

Thanks for any input.

Go for it.

As much as I love mine, if I had the same list as you, mine would have been gone long ago.

What is up with the Canadian "L's?"

WHAT04

The bottom line is (especially on a lease) what is the cap cost on the 01, (what did you actually pay for it) and what are they giving you for the 00??

Are they going through Ford on the lease? If not, what is the rate being used to figure the lease?

Are you upside down on the 00 and are they rolling it over to the 01?

2, 3, 4, or 5 year lease?

How many miles a year do you drive?

A lease is sometimes very difficult to understand and I have seem so many people get hurt by them. Be careful!!!
