battery JB wire reomval?
battery JB wire reomval?
gents,
I am wanting to remove a wire from the battery junction box (the one on the back driver side of the engine compartment. I see there is a black tab you have to push back in order to get the steak-on to become free and then be able to remove.
I am having a problem being able to push that black pin back far enough to be able to free the steak-on.
Does anyone have any tips for me to get it out?? (and w/o breaking anything)

Radio Shack or any electronics part house has a tool (looks like a screw driver) inexpensive that is used to remove or repair spaded or round pins from connector’s plugs.
You might also use what is called a pick, a tool that looks like an oversize toothpick (6” long), with a 90 degree bend on one end…
What ever you do, DISSCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING ELECTICAL!!!

A ford tech told me you have to remove all the fuses/relays and then the red cover in the fuse panel.
I have since then been told by steve83 from f150online.com that this is true.
He gave me a link too, with pics:
