Post Has anyone relocated the trailer light plug housing to less conspicuous place?

This thing looks like an after thought and just wondered if anybody has found a good place to move it to...

Cool

Just remove the connector, turn the bracket 180 degrees, and reattach the connector. It then is hidden, but still usable! This simple fix was given to me by Baby Jake

Cheers from the traveling Dwight (in Finland today)!

I did the same as BigD as soon as I got my truck. You've got to take the connector plug off the bracket (four screws). This will allow you to pass the bracket over the beam it's mounted to. Turn the bracket around facing front (it lines up real well) and re-attach the plug. This puts the front of the plug almost up against the spare, but you should still be able to take the tire down without ripping the plug off.

Another option, if you don't tow much, is to take the hitch off completely. Much cleaner look to the back end. Only like four bolts.

There's plenty of room and extra length on the wiring to move it up and out of sight while still retaining it's usefulness.
Just drill a new hole and you are done!
