I recently purchased , a 2000 lightning from the original owner it has 24000 miles on it , but the fender badges say svtF150 not lightning, the owner said , that is how it came from ford . has anybody ever see another like it ?

 

all of the 1999-2004 Lightnings came with the same emblems, "Lightning" on the fenders and "SVT F150" on the tailgate.
The Lightning emblems may have been stolen off that truck when it was for sale at the dealership? They might have had the SVT F150's in stock in the parts dept and used those instead of waiting for the correct ones to be ordered...

 

I actually think thats cool to be different. I have seen an F150 like that (basically a poser, but at least he didnt have Lightning badges. I guess he thought his f150 was hopped up enough and he thought he could rep SVT!)

Those things are amazing, I had one in my grasps but found my truck for better and cheaper.

Gas mileage was too bad. But i could have gotten it, luckily i didnt so im not swamped in debt and gas money.

I say take that crap off and get your self some real emblems that are made for the truck. If i seen your truck i would think you took a base f150 and made it into a Lightning.

did it look like this. My truck came with both tailgate and lightning badge on it. I removed the svt ones right away.
