Thumbs up Need proven advice on a engine build.

Hi, I have a stock 04 Lightning I bought new that now has 11,000 miles on it, very cherry. I would like to go faster, a lot faster. I want a Lightning for the street that will beat the Dodge Ram SRT, Corvette and Mustang Cobra and maybe a Saleen Mustang. Can I do this by adding on to the engine and not going into the engine, and changing the exhaust system. What exhaust system sounds bad a$$ bad? I would like to go to the low 12s if possible. What could I add, how much HP would each change make and estimated cost. Can you recommend a good tuner to do this work? $ are not a problem. I am ready, but my wife is not...but thats always been the way. LOL.

I live in Forest Hill, Maryland. What would I have to spend for the KB and exhaust. Now, I can always get in my Lightning and it starts and runs fine everytime. After adding mods, will I have tuning problems? Will it be as reliable as stock? Ray

Yes your Lightning will be as good as stock once you pump it up
Hell I drive mine daily and it's like a dream come true on the street....

As said if you want to save yourself A LOT of money and useless Mods, just go for a Kenne Bell SC and an Exhaust. Since your in Maryland I would recommend Johnny Lightning
Give them a call and speak with them and all your questions will be answered..
BEST OF LUCK AND WELCOME
