Battery Relocation Help/advice

I am moving the battery to the rear. I have already mounted the battery and rounded up the cable and stuff. The relocation is only for weight distribution and engine bay clean up and will not be installing the remote switch.

1. Can I run the ground from the battery to the frame in the back? The original ground runs down (along with the pos cable) to the starter and seems to branch off and ground to the frame below the headers on the right.
I really dont want to run the ground cable back to the rear if I dont have to.

2.There are three cables on the hot side. One is the fuse link that runs to the relay and on over to the alternator. The 2nd one is the main cable running to the starter and a 3rd smaller (possibly 16-14 guage) wire running along with the fuse link down toward the starter..... My plan is to run these 3 together into the single 00 cable and on back to the rear. Will that work?

I searched but all battery relocation threads and Tim's site just discuss the wirring with the use of the remote kill switch. Mine should be pretty simple....or at least I thought it was.
