Just drove and ordered my first Lightning this afternoon. Man what a blast to drive this truck. Ordered a White one. This thing is a true HOT ROD. Look forward to sharing stories of good times in my Lightning with all you guys.

Dealership indicated they should know about my build date next week. I'm just guessing it will probabaly take 60 to 90 days to deliver.

 

I ordered on February 6, 2001, and I was told late May early June. If you get it in 60 - 90 days you're lucky. THe ones taht are coming in now were ordered in August, september and October last year.

 

How do you check on build dates? If you get the proper information from your dealer is there a way to check status weekly without aggravating the dealer? Thanks

 

May, June...... I just couldn't take my local dealers "60 to 90 days..." so I emailed about 50 dealers last week and found several of them with trucks sitting on their lots. The one I made a deal with is shipping it for free!!! So i should have my baby any day

I ordered mine on January 21st. They told me late March early April. There are 10 people before me, on the list.
I think it all depends on how many people already have one on order before you.

My dealership told me 6 to 8 weeks, but I doubt that it will that quick. But I'm hopin.
