Would you do it????

Well I have been a Lightning guy for a long time and have had two fully modded lightnings my brother recently bought my Lightning and I was planning on moving up to a Harley for the room. Now heres my dilemma. I stumbled across a deal while looking for a harley for a 2005 SRT-10 50,000 miles fully loaded navigation etc... The truck is also in perfect condition and fully stock. For $27,000 out the door! The KBB on the truck is $32,000 and I need to make the decision ASAP. Please someone talk me out of it or do you think it is a good deal.

The SRT10 is a nice truck but just doesn't look as good as the L IMHO. And its a Dodge. But hey, whatever turns your noodle.

Hey Randal ,
Your not supposed to tow with the R/C ..... many do ... you can tow with the Q/C my 06 Q/C is rated for 8500 lbs.
And for the slower stock for stock not true but you can mod a L for a lot less and I think they are both some bad a$$ American trucks

this a 2005 Q/C at the track http://s171.photobucket.com/albums/u...rent=Mike7.flv

I would get the Harley just on aesthetics alone. The SRT-10 is mean looking, no doubt. But it's just not what I would want in a sport truck. But hey, I'd drive one if Ford never made the L or HD!

Best I have seen for 05 Q/C with paper plates is 13.5.

Mr. 06SRT

I admit that I have never run a truck like yours myself, but I have see them run on the strip against stock lightnings and other vehicles and they just dont go like they have 500 hp. Mostly because they cant get any of it to the ground. The quickest one I've seen went 13.6 while they mostly go in the 14's.

Well I think that I will get the Harley if the dealer doesnt except my counter offer but what kind of deal would you have to get to buy a viper truck. I kind of feel bad for the people that lost 20-25K in two years on these trucks.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on one with 50,000 miles on it. Maybe 24ish. You should be able to get one with a lot less miles for under 30K. I'd rock one! Goodluck, -Mat-

I realize it is well under blue book....but I agree that it sounds like alot of money for a performance truck with 50k miles. With the way those SRT's drink gas, I can't believe they are selling too well right now. Give em a lowball offer and keep your fingers crossed!
