"A lot of Lightning owners have switched to the SRT10" Where the hell did you hear that? You've got to be the first one I've ever heard of.
There is a reason why that SRT10 has devalued so much. Look at our L's, they hold their value VERY well. I love the look of the HD trucks, and the interior's are sweet with the 4 black leather buckets. Plus, they can be modded just as easy as the L and made to kick some *** in style.
Those SRT10 trucks are FUGLY as all get out!

Don't do it, step away from the Dodge.
Get a grip man, think of your family.

According to a magazine i read (trucking or something the '05 quad cab SRT-10 was almost 2 seconds slower int eh 1/4 mile than the '02-'03 harley's

a lot of guys around here tow with thier harley trucks and have no issues

I drove the SRT-10 and that's why i own an '03 Harley truck it's much more family friendly plus has more room and rides way better

i wouldn't pay more than 22 for it.. Here's your arguments: 1) hi po, out of warranty, most likely been beaten on. 2) 50k miles is a lot for a 3 year old vehicle. 3) price of gas is not friendly for single digit gas mileage. 4) Remember when new ones were goin out the door for 33-35?? Maybe that was the RC, but still a QC shoudln't be too much different.

The only reason I would ever buy an SRT10 would be for the 6spd trans in the RC..

Well on the srt 10 forum they said they have seen high 13's out of a QC but I am still on the fence, I found a QC with many many upgrades for around 30,000 and has 18,000 miles and it runs in the 12's. I like this truck a lot. Thanks for all the help for the decision. I am still haven't figured it out yet.

Looking in a magazine right now, a bone stock Q/C SRT10 put down 384 RWHP... They put a blower on it... Eaton and put down 504 RWHP.

It says they also did the install on a regular cab, stick shift truck... the manual tranny put down 428 RWHP stock and with the Eaton put down 620RWHP. The kit cost $6500.

It's in this months sport truck magazine.

A little food for thought.

Those Mexican built trucks have the worst reliability records of any trucks on the market and the fit and finish is absolutely horrible. Check JD Powers and other reputable sources.

Neat concept but I've seen and heard to many horror stories about the Ram.

Well I have been a Lightning guy for a while that is why I am asking here. I have heard horror stories about the viper truck but I have also blown a motor and threw sparkplugs out in a Lightning. I thing there are goods and bads on both but either way I am going crewcab. I have a thread in both forums and it is funny to see what everybodys opinion is.

***Viper truck also has 7 year 75,000 warranty***
