Thumbs up New chip calibrations really rock!

I know that I stand a good chance of getting chastised over this but here goes anyway.

I just got a new flash on my PSP 4-way chip last Friday. On Sunday I went to the Internet Car Club Bash out at Lone Star RAceway in Sealy, Tx. and won 1st place in a 120+ car field.

PSP has really made some significant progress in retuning the chips to make the CUX2 program step up and work well. No more pinging, and it pulls like a Missouri mule in 3rd gear. I was getting an additional .2 off my times on a slick track with the new cals.

I am not affiliated with PSP in any way other than as a satisfied customer and just wanted to let eveyone know that Sal has it together in a big way now. Reburns are $10 for a flip chip and $20 for a 4 way.

Go ahead and flame me if you have to, I've got my Nomex underwear on.

Chuck, i agree. anyone with a PSP chip should take advantage of the re-burn. the 3rd gear run will yield some excellent times.

Looking forward to getting mine back from Sal soon. Never argued his quality just the responsiveness.

With the 2001's hitting the streets he may get buried again soon ....

I always have my nomex on when posting on the Net.

Doug

I just got mine back yesterday and haven't put it back in yet. I just wanted to let everyone know that the turnaround time was 1 week. Very impressive.

As soon as I get my new flip chip from JDM I am going to also send my PSP chip back to Sal for a reburn. I am just affraid on how long it will take to get it back. I can't wait to test the 2 chips back to back next month at the JDM get together, I think Sal is planning on being there too.

Cool

Tundra,
I have track times for you on these new PSP Programs.
I just ran 12.57 @ 106.43mph w/ 1.77 60ft on PSPs Street program and a 12.62 @ 107.89 mph on PSPs race program w/1.86 60ft.
I normally pull 1/72-1.74 60ft times so the race program is actually faster by about .04 tenths and 1.46 mph- right now.
Of course, the NEW PSP Lower Blower Pulley must have helped, too. (ALOT!!)
I will be testing some new race programs this weekend.

Dan

I haven't gotten any new track times except for when I won the ICCB at Sealy last Sunday. I was running 8.00's (1/8 mi track)out there w/1.7x 60' times in mid 50's temps about a month ago.

Last Sunday, in mid 70's temps and no traction (1.9x 60' times) I was still running 8.00's.

Last night, just driving on the street, the truck was having major traction issues just trying to leave from stop lights and signs. Just for grins, I hooked up the G-Tech and on street tires was turning 12.79 @ 109 mph with 2.11 60' (my G-tech APPEARS to be mostly accurate, but I don't fully trust it).

As the PCM "learns" the new tables, it just seems to get stronger and stronger.

This is getting scary, even for me!
