Can't decide which one?
Ok guys this is how it goes, either I'm going to buy a mustang and make it into a street renegade car, or I'm going to get a townhouse. the mustangs going to cost about 35,000 without a awsome paint job, so figure 40,000. the townhouse is about 250,000.00 but I'm only going to put down 40,000 or so. I'm 19 and its just me and my mother living at home. I really can't decide what to do, and my brother and sister don't help cause they don't give a rats a$$ about drag racing. My mother likes the idea cause then she could get a townhouse also. I don't know what to do, cause I think what if this racing thing is a phase I'm going threw for the next five years and then I won't be into it anymore. everyone has to live somewhere? right? I'm really trying to figure this one out for myself. my mother doesn't care that I live at home, but if I buy a mustang I'll be at home for another 2 years. What do you guys think, I'm trying to find a good reason to do one or the other??????

Hows the place you are living at now? When you get over 21 you are gonna want to be living alone. Sounds like you already have a cool truck, I'd lean towards the house.
Thats a tough one. Heck, flip a coin. I do that when the boss asks me to stay late. They hate that.

That's a tough one, but if I were you I'd go with the townhouse. Over time, the value of the home will increse, while the car depreciates in value. It would be fun to have another toy, but a car like that always has problems and requires more and more money. It's up to you, but you are gonna want a place of your own in a year or two.

The place I'm in now Is to damn big for me and my mom. I'm at work 70 to 80 hours a week minimal, and I'm tired of taking care of the house. I know pretty much how to fix anything household related. I mean my house is awsome, I got a huge three car garage for all my stuff, but I don't need that much room right now in my life. the only thing I'm worried about is my two dogs? I would hire a maid to come in and clean the house twice a week, cause god know thats not my area of expertise. My mother said If I moved out she would buy my couches for a getting the fu@k out of her house present (HAHAHA), can't pass that offer up. She just wants less to maintain too.

Property always appreciates and will be worth more thatn you gave for it. I'd have to say go with someplace to live, the Mustang can come later.
$250,000 for a Condo? Must be a heck of a condo, property values around Chicago must be sky high! Look for a place with plenty of garage space and maybe room for a small workshop. That way you could have your cake and eat it too! (eventually).

Think about the tax advantages you'll have with a big mortgage as well. Lot's of deductions...

One thing you must remember also with a townhouse so many restrictions are put on you that you may be lucky to just change your oil.
For $250,000 it had better be real nice.

Orland Park townhouse's are $$$$$.
this is tinely park house
2100 SQFT without the basement
big two car garage with a heated floor (I like the heated floor).
Two bed rooms
two and half baths one full for each bedroom
unfinished basement but capentry is my skill so I can build a club down their
big living room
small dining room, but who uses that anymore.
granite kitchen counter tops
oak wood floors throughout bottom floor
loft area upstairs (for an office)
laundry room area
big windows in front with a chathedral ceiling
deck on the outside
Its a good quality built place all in all. I know construction verywell and I would cay this place is one of the best around. It even has a more sound resistant wall. I need that with the music I blast (six twevles and 1000 watts makes a boom).
thats about it for the house.

1) You're 19, have a lightning that looks that good and are condsidering a mustang or a house, what the hell type of job do you have.
2)The lightning is perfectly well capable for a street renagade car, besides it's a truck, no one expects that.
3)Go with the house, having your own place for peace and quite is much better then having 2 cars that will kill anything on the road. Besides, you'll never grow out of car fascination and modding once you have it. And theres many advantages of having you own place, if you know where I am going.

I'm a environmental and demolition estimator. I go out from job to job and look at them and give a price on the job. This year we already got about 8 Mil lined up, so I should get a huge bonus from all that. Enough for a down payment. My father owns the company, and let me tell you working for my dad is allot harder then somebody else. I know I'm lucky, and I thank god everyday I'm me.
My own place would present allot of advantages that I never thought about. "hey baby want to go back to my place" I like the sound of that.
