According to TV weather should be good. No precipitation highs in 60's Saturday.....

Intercooler is replaced, Pinging goes away with octane boost and I am ready to rumble....

I've never been drag racing, so if you guys will share a few secrets, I'll join you. I'm guaranteed a PR.

Where are you going to meet? I live in Richardson.

Hey Mark, the more the merrier, so come on. First time I went to the races I asked Sixpipes for the secrets and he said just follow me. Took me a few minutes to figure out that I was supposed to wait for the next green light...JK.

We usually meet up at a Sonic in Balch Springs, just off LBJ. Silver_2000 will probably post the map again, since I can never remeber which exit it is.

I'm still planning on the trip.
I changed the trans fluid and it did'nt help. the intercooler is leaking and i'm loosing motor oil. I'm still going though.
I'll just call Ford to come pick it up if she brakes
I just got done installing a bottle on my friends Z28 this weekend. He should brake into the 11's
I want some 12's this trip. Maybe someone could give my a push.......
See you guys then

Thanks

Typical 1/4 mile rules. Under 13.9 you have to have helmet. Long pants. Windows up. Some rule books say drive shaft loop at 13.9 as well but I have never seen it enforced till much faster.

Well, I have neither a helmet nor a driveshaft loop...doesn't look too good for me.

Wright

If you go you can borrow a helmet and I have NEVER seen any one asked about a loop. None of us run them.

We hope to see you even though the organizeer of the event is trying to weasel his way out of going. Isnt that right Sixpipes ?

Cool

Looks like I'm going to be a weasel either way, however, I have not raised the white flag yet.

Wright,
You're welcome to use my helmet to make your runs. We'll just stage such that we have time to swap it back and forth.

Dennis, you are not allowed to weasel out unless you want to be the last one to hit the 12's.

Doug, thanks for posting the map again. For some reason I can never remember Elam Rd.

Hey guys,
So what are we meeting at sonic and what time does the track open??

I think this weekend is only test-n-tune and not brackets.
So he could use one of our helmets no prob

Cool

Doug - I need to get a set of tires to you. I can't carry all six with my bedcover closed. I will be in Dallas both tomorrow and Friday. Do you want me to stop by your work?

Brian - If I don't make it Saturday, you can use my drag radials. Traction is better and it increases the gear ratio because of the smaller diameter tires. Let me know if you're interested.

Sixpipes
Sure no problem - Give me a call on my cell and I will meeet you.

I dont know when the track opens so I cant say when to meet
Weather look slike it will be great - I am looking forward to going.

If anyone is reading this who has a Lightning or other perfomance vehicle and is considering going but has never raced before dont worry 90% of us were the same way last year. We will be happy to give you some pointers at the track and I will promise to not go over 120 for more than a couple minutes at a time on the way out there.

Guy's I don't mean to spoil your party, but the track is not supposed to open till FEB.18 for test and tune. That's what their website has posted. I only live 30 minutes away and all the racers I know say thats when the track opens. Here's the numbers if you want to call(903 668-2858 / 903 668-1724). I just hate to see you guys drive all that way and it be closed. If you find out something different let me know because I'll meet you guys there!! Thanks Mike
