Got My Magnum Powers Blower Pics!!!!
is this another choice in superchargers we have besides the whipple, and KB?
if so... which one is the cheapest to purchase, and which one is the most efficient??
and how close are these to a really good ported eaton?
Thanks

Thoughs question are very opinionated but the Magnum Powers is another option and it sits between the ported eaton and KB, Whipple. For a stock block it is the most friendly you can run tons more boost then the proted eaton go to the Magnum Powers site http://www.magnumpowers.com/
They have a dyno chart with the KB and Magnum Powers and the Magnum lost to the KB by only 8hp. The Magnum Powers is a case and snout you use your stock eaton rotor pack or you can find one used like I did complete. New they are $1700.00 and some have sun it to 24psi with no problems. It is alot more efficent then the stock eaton(alot less heat) and definetly more durable than the ported eaton if you run more than 16psi. I'm running a 6# lower with a stock upper and it pulls hard all the way to redline where my eaton would start to fall flat at the end of the 1/4 because of heat and the ECU pulling back timming.

So you are saying... I buy the casing for 1650 bucks, I put my screws in it.. I go get a new tune.. and use my 6lb lower now and I will make more power on the stock block?
i have a good setup... 6lb lower, stock upper, CAI, decent exhaust, good tune, ngk plugs.. and make 420/545.. if we hypothisys here.. what would my increases be by changing out superchargers, and getting a new tune for it?
a good guess?

Magnum Powers blowers are more efficent when you spin them hard(less heat at high boost levels). Which in turn allows the ECU to not pull timming based on your IA2 temps. The rotors are moved allowing more air to be drawn in almost like a rear inlet blower. That is why it has a shorter snout to compinsate for the longer case. The Eaton is a wonderfull piece of work but spin it hard and it becomes a blast furnace.I only have the stock boost gauge but I have been told you get 1-2 more psi of boost because of the more efficent design of the blower. Some people run 24psi on this blower the eaton would be blowing so much heat at that point you would not show any or little gain if it even stayed together. I'm still running the same tune I had with my eaton and it is running richer on that tune then with the eaton. Rob00_lightning said he ran richer with the Magnum Powers than with the eaton.the thing pictured un the blower is a idler bracket which puts tension under the snout of the blower giving you more belt wrap and stopping of reducing belt slip when using a small then stock upper pulley on the Magnum Powers blower.
