Sure... the Roush suspension will out-slalom the stock Lightning suspension. The ad didn't say "thru mountain-twisties", just on a slalom course.

The comment about the Supercharger makes no sense... the fast way thru a slalom in an L would be at about 1/3 throttle... any more and the rear's coming around.

I think roush wheel hp is better than our rear wheel hp. you need to multiply by 2.2046 or something. Damn !!! 606rear wheel!!!, no wonder he's kicking our rears (wheel)

Tried to do a little research on the topic, but I'm one magazine short, so maybe somebody can help.

December 1999 Motortrend remarks that the Lightning is sluggish at best because of the suspension on the slalom and max's out at 59.2 MPH.

January 1999 Motortrend has the article on the Roush F150, but I don't have that magazine in my dorm room, so if anyone has it, they can fill in the void.

Tampabaylightning: just about everyone I've ever talked to says that the Gen1 lightnings handle better than the Gen2.

Nothing Roush does to an F150 affects the HP. Only the handling and the appearance. Roush makes a kit for the Lightning as well. If you are worried about the competition get the Roush suspension on your L

Take two lightnings and their owners. Give each $2500. One owner spends his on a rousch suspension package. The other spends his on a 3 day performance driving school.

Hands down, the driver who went to the school will be faster on the track. Period.

I believe that stage 2 is mostly the stickers decals, and basic appearance package of the Roush kit.
Don't quote me on this though.
But I have seen Roush trucks running 360 hp.
I would still rather have a Lightning!!!

According to SVT, the 2001 Lightning does 63.6 MPH in 80 foot slalom and pulls .85g on the 100 foot skidpad.

Don't have my '99 Lightning brochure with me, but it seems the numbers are comparable.
