And you're right, you didn't say the emotional part, that was someone else in a later post who was agreeing with you. I'll give you that, and only that. But I'm still waiting for you to actually RESPOND (Not reply) to anything I wrote.

You are confusing the point and the facts. It is NOT the fact that he did a burnout - get over that point. It is the fact he did a burnout AFTER he knew he had tranny problems.
If you suspected your truck was running lean, would you go do WOT runs up and down the highway? And then cry to Ford when a rod vented your block?
Sometimes common sense needs to be applied and people held accountable for their actions.
You obviously disagree. What more is there to be said?

Hey Hornet, my advice is to stick to your guns. Argue the fact that you drove the vehicle in to the service department, not towed it in.
Also, how do we know the service technician did not go to a parking lot and do donuts, or even gun-it? The vehicle broke down when the service technician was driving it. He broke the thing not you! Blame it on the technician.

Ford F150's are decent trucks. They hold up to some abuse. The lightning was designed with that kind of abuse in mind. One week and the transmission is fried. The dealership sold you a lemon bud. I would start looking into the service records of the truck. I would even call the previous owner and see if the truck had any transmission problems before. If you did not have an extended warranty. I would say you are out of luck. But you have it on your truck. Usually a good dealership will fix the problem no questions asked, if there is problems with the vehicle within the first month. I personally think you got suckered into a bad deal. I would contact the better business bureau, and even hire a lawyer and take them to court. call the attorney general's office of your county and file a complaint. The cost is nominal to file a complaint. If there are several complaints about the dealing of a particular company, you get the support of G A. Good luck
