I guess it would depend on the type of media i.e. how does it affect the surface of the pulley. I had some parts media blasted for powdercoating; they used a plastic bead type of media to bare the metal surfaces. It worked great. That stuff in meant not to damage or score the surface of your parts. If you have the pulley media blasted like that, I'd guess after a while the belt would still smooth the surface back to its original state.

Hey guys, I was at the swap meet saturday in west chicago with my buddy eddie and Bob kurgen. My friend was buying a 8 inch supercharger crank pulley for his mustang, and bob said that he had the pulley Media blasted. I guess this is just a process to grip the belt more, preventing spinning on the belt and pulley's. Have any of you done this or heard of this. Bob said it only cost him 20 bucks to do and I think any more grip would be worth the money. Just a thought at more efficency. I'm going to find a place and get it done.
