SCT needs to offer refunds for Livewire

Anyone that bought one of these "beta" products knows that it is "cool", but many features don't work or are not available - even though they continue to be advertised as available. After poor response from them for weeks, I finally went ahead and filed a BBB complaint on them. Here is the info I posted on SCT's forum if you want to have your voice heard:

Better Business Bureau tracking number 50201-72302-78476-88FC6-04AB0-75FF1-09

Complaint filed for lack of advertised features in shipped product, no date for resolution of missing features, and ignoring refund requests.

For anyone else as frustrated as me, visit the Orlanda BBB website and file your complaint. http://www.orlando.bbb.org/index.html

B.S. If you tried one of these POS tuning devices, you'd be saying the same thing.

SCT really dropped the ball on this one. No tuner will tune with this thing and it has more problems than you can imagine.

I really wish the vendors would test the products they sell and stand behind them. I got the run around for weeks with VMP tuning. Justin wouldn't stand behind crap. The Livewire has been nothing but problems. My only option was to return the unit for another one, or return it with a 20% restocking fee.

That's why I won't ever deal with any vendor outside of Chickenears, JLP, LFP, and JDM again. They are the only vendors customer oriented IMHO.

"Yes that is a VMP X2 plugged into it on the showroom floor."

This is about the Livewire NOT the XCAL 2.

Yea I know....If the livewire was so awesome, Dont you think he would be using that instead! I would think my tuner should be using what he's sellin.

You're right, he sells them and even he's not using it (at least in the picture). But they have no problem in dumping them and taking profits. Meanwhile the coplaints pour in and all we hear is "Try and download the updates". "All we can do is replace it for another one".

There is obviously a problem with this product. I'm with St. Louis Lightning, SCT needs to issue refunds.

I guess I can't blame the vendor. All he cares about is making a profit. After all, he has a GT500 payment every month.

When I bought my Livewire off of Sal/PSP, he warned me of the missing features. This was at the end of February, my receipt says March 9th. I bought it anyway thinking how long could it take for them to make some software changes.. Over 3 months later, I still wonder...

When I bought mine I was flat out told that I could data log and send the file in for email tuning.I was told nothing about any missing features.

This doesn't suprise me. They never got the XC2 to work as advertised either and conveniently mothballed it for another non-functional product.

Personally I will never spend another dollar with SCT. They are a bunch of liars and sidestep honest questions from people who paid good money for functionality that still doesn't not work correctly and most likely never will.

Take a look at the sct forums it's full of unanswered questions, finger pointing and unhappy customers.

wow

That's about as true as a statement as i've ever read on a forum, i'll tell you.

I just got an xcall 2 from Sal recently and i have no gripes at all except for getting the little questions answered when you have issues. Sal set me straight on setting up data logging, but i was having some software issues which i believe is more of an issue with my laptop to be honest, but that SCT board is a waste of time. No one responds to anything, or pm's. And when you call, it's "we haven't run into that before" haha.

I felt like saying maybe if your read and answered the posts on your forum, you'd be well versed in that problem!! Haha.

I answered all my questions by searching google and doing searches and reading 206 million posts on about 12 different message boards.

Goes back to my belief of no buying anything that's brand new and new technology until the bugs are worked out. There are always bugs. I know it's nice to be the first to have something new but it's not fun when you end up hating it.
