Post what is the name of the tool and what size do I need?

I want to take the bed tie downs off in order to install my bed rug. What is the name of the tool and what size to I need to get the bolts out? Also if anyone know the size needed for the same bolts used on the tailgate and on the seatbelts it would be very helpful.

Thanks

John

That's a torx screw. The size escapes me cause mine is at home & I'm at work-about 1/4". They put it on with thread-locker, so they're pretty tight. If no one has a difinitive size posted by tomorrow, I'll let you know.

I think BABOLT's referring to the bed bolts themselves...I believe the tie down hooks are more like a TX-27.

Wink

I don't understand. If his tool is too small it will be ineffectual or just fall out. But if it's too big, it won't fit in. What's funny about that?
