yet another lowering question

Here's what I'm after. My '03 DSG Lightning in my opinion sits too high, especially in the rear. I want to lower it but I don't want to "slam" it to where I can't use it for a truck. I pull the race car to and from the drag strip during the summer and I also haul my 4 wheeler in back, and 2 more on a utility trailer behind me in the spring/fall months. What is a good compromise between too low and stock height? I saw a guy a while back that had a sonic blue '03 that had been lowered, but it was barely noticeable unless you KNEW what to look for. I'd guess 1.5 front and 3" rear. I like the rake myself where the rear is slightly higher than the front but stock is just ridiculous.

Oh and by the way I have searched for days and havent' come up with anything conclusive. Any suggestions?

Since you plan on towing a good bit with it, I would just swap out your leafs with some 01,02 etc years and install a FRPP Drop kit. Thats just my opinion..I like the MILD drops haha.
This pics is of my 03 with the FRPP Drop kit and 1 leaf removed from the stock leafs. Just another option.

Here's a 2003 DSG with Hotchkis lowering kit. 1.75 front and 2.5 inch in the back with two inch drop shakels.

Take it as low as you want, and then add some helper airbags. I'm dropped 3 or 4 inches in the rear, and with the airbags, I can carry my 750 lb bike in the bed and still have more axle clearance than I do unloaded.

Noah, that is about the look I'm looking for. Looks stock to anyone who doesn't know Lightnings but you & I know that it is lowered just a little. Perfect for what I do with the truck.

Now I have to get it out of the body shop before I can think about the FRPP kit
